An algorithm is a set of instructions for solving a problem or accomplishing a task or work. One most common example of an algorithm is a recipe, which consists of specific instructions for preparing a dish or meal.
Types of algorithms:
Seven types of algorithms are:
1) the brute force-based algorithm .
2)Greedy algorithm.
3) Recursive algorithm.
4)Backtracking algorithm.
5)Divide and conquer algorithm.
6) Dynamic programming algorithm.
7) Randomized algorithm.
Invention of algorithms in India:
The algorithm was originally invented by the Indian astronomer mathematician Aryabhatta (476–550 CE) and is described very briefly in his Aryabhatiya.
